TOScontrol

 

TOScontrol is a software add-on for the control system that contains a set of applications and functions for advanced machine management. For easy and intuitive operation, the system contains a default screen with icons of individual applications (similar to mobile device operating systems). The applications are clearly displayed on the machine control panel, and the operator can seamlessly switch between them. The solution also includes user account management. TOScontrol is part of the standard equipment of all machines.

Description

We named the control system add-on ‘TOScontrol’. This is a platform for advanced machine management applications and functions.

For easy and intuitive operation, the system contains a default screen with icons of individual applications (similar to the operating systems of mobile devices).

The applications are clearly displayed on the machine control panel, and the operator can seamlessly switch between them. The solution also includes the management of user accounts.

Motivation

Industry 4.0 offers virtually unlimited possibilities in the field of connecting machines to production systems, their integration, including a high degree of automation for complex control and monitoring of the quality of the production process.

Our goal is to offer a standard machine control system add-on, which will not only act as a platform for our own applications, but also for various third-party functions according to customer requirements.

STATUS SCREEN Clearly displays basic information about the machine (coordinates, program, alarms, logged in user, etc.).

 

CNC CONTROL SYSTEM Displays the standard control system screen supplemented by a sidebar with a button for returning to the TOScontrol home page.

 

DOCUMENTATION This is an application enabling the reading and management of PDF documents (e.g. operating instructions, repair manual, etc.), including the possibility of user rights creation and creation of tabs and notes in documents. 

 

CALENDAR Standard calendar view – day, week, month. Event / service activity – add, change, delete, remind. All data stored in the local database.

 

Option applications



IP CAMERA The application enables control of one or more motorised cameras located on any part of the machine. Data from the camera can also be used to facilitate machine operation.



INSPECTION AND COMPENSATION This is metrological software integrated into the control system, which together with the touch probe allows the work-piece to be measured accurately and directly on the machine making it possible to perform the automatic compensation of errors and program debugging. The measured data can be automatically activated as a CNC correction without changing the CNC program

 


HEAD CALCULATOR – Calculation of the most advantageous rotation of the head or table axes in relation to the required tilted machining plane, selection of the best configuration, generation of NC code for the control system


MONITOR – An integrated system for monitoring the usage history of a machine tool. This system displays the time line of the basic machine statuses, e.g., ready, production, production slowdown, error, off, etc.

 


VIBRODIAGNOSTICS – Machine maintenance – extension of the machine monitoring application, sensors and vibration measurement on key parts of the machine (HU and ball screw bearings), based on information from the machine's digital twin, the machine’s condition is monitored + possibility of extension to predict the need for service intervention. Lower service costs and minimise unscheduled downtime.

 


IN DEVELOPMENT – JOB ORDER – Displays a view of the work order and operational overview directly on the machine control panel, which is linked to the ERP system. Data for each order can be supplemented with other documents, e.g., operational descriptions, photos, tables or NC programs.

 


IN DEVELOPMENT – TECHNOLOGY CALCULATOR – Based on the specified tool parameters, material and operational requirements, the system generates proposals for suitable cutting parameters (suitable for direct workshop programming)
