The unified WVM 2900/3900 T series vertical machining centres are designed for universal machining of work-pieces made of steel and cast iron. Thanks to a robust gantry design with a mobile headstock (Y), vertical extensible ram (Z) and sliding table (X), they offer exceptional precision and rigidity even under long-term load. The 53 kW power installation predestine the machines for powerful and productive machining.
These machines are typically used in general engineering, where they enable the maching of a wide range of workpieces from cast iron blocks to steel, especially frame structures. Thanks to the open workspace, the handling of parts is easy and flexible.
Multi-purpose machine for a wide range of applications
WVM machines can be equipped with different types of automatically interchangeable milling heads that extend their technological capabilities. Optional accessories such as cooling systems, machine monitoring and automatic tool changing can be added as stndard.
The machine is operated from the installed platform on the side of the column. To increase operational safety and comfort, the machines can be equipped with a workspace cover that minimises chip flight and coolant spray.
