WRD 170/200 – Largest plate-type boring machines from TOS VARNSDORF
The WRD 170 and WRD 200 represent the largest and heaviest machines from a line of linear-guided plate-type boring machines in the portfolio of TOS VARNSDORF. They are used for precise coordinate boring, drilling, milling and thread cutting of workpieces with exceptional dimensions and weights up to 150 tonnes.
The typical application is machining of box-section, plate-like and articulated workpieces made of grey cast, iron cast, steel and other materials that can be chip-machined. Thanks to the high installed power, a long ram and spindle travel (1.5 m + 1 m) and optionl technological equipment expansion, the WRD 170/200 ranks among the most powerful machines for complete processing of oversized parts.

The WRD 170/200 have been designed as robust and flexible production units that can handle even the most difficult production application. They offer variable configurations – from a basic design with a main 170 or 200 mm spindle diameter, through automatic tool change to additional rotary table.
