WRD 13 – Horizontal boring machine for flexible and accurate operations
The WRD 13 machine builds on the proven design of WHN 13 machines from TOS VARNSDORF and brings a modernised solution for efficient and precise machining. It shares a headstock and column with the WHR 13 machine, combining a robust design with high precision. The X-axis is driven by the Master & Slave system, which, together with the three linear guides, ensures exceptional stability, precision and feed speed up to 21,000 mm/min.
The WRD 13 is the smallest of the TOS VARNSDORF plate-type machines, but offers a wide range of optional configurations – thanks to the 130 mm spindle diameter, it is suitable for deep boring operations and ensures sufficient power and rigidity for powerful machining with large overhanging. With automatic tool change and additional rotary tables, this is a very universal machine. Typical applications include the economic machining of large weldments and castings, where a combination of precision, speed and universal use is required.
