Special Accessory Magazine (SZP/AVTP)

The TOS VARNSDORF special accessory magazine is designed for storing and automatically changing technological accessories using the ‘PICK-UP’ system.

Every solution is designed individually according to customer requirements – taking into account the type of machine, number of storage locations, spatial arrangement and handling method.

This system is an ideal complement to the TOS VARNSDORF automated work centres and enables safe, quick and accurate connection of special components within the manufacturing process.

System design and function

The accessory magazine is designed for the automatic change of attachments, milling heads and other technological accessories.

The change process is carried out using the PICK-UP system, whereby the machine automatically picks up and places accessories from/into the magazine without operator intervention.

The number of storage locations, the storage method and location of the magazine are fully adaptable to the specific requirements of the workplace.

Design options

For table machines

Two SZP stand cover options are available:

• With a hinged door opening, or 
• with a roller shutter opening, suitable for space saving and quick access. 

For table machines

Three basic configurations are available:

1. Pick-up station clamped to the rotary table plate (SZP) 
   – simple and compact solution with direct access to accessories. 
    
2. Pick-up station on hinged brackets (SZP) 
   – ideal for greater flexibility when handling technological accessories. 
    
3. Separate magazine with manipulator next to the X-axis (AVTP) 
   – located on a concrete floor, contains up to three storage locations for technological accessories, optionally expandable with the AVN system for automatic tool change.
