FPPC - Product description

FPPC CNC is a portal machining centre with a longitudinally moveable cross beam and with transversal and vertical travel of the slide with the headstock. The workpiece is fixed using a clamping pane consisting of clamping panels anchored in the machine base. It is a modern powerful machine tool for complex machining of different material workpieces using progressive machining methods and operations in a wide spectrum from power roughing to high-precision finishing in various CNC modes. It is designed especially for the machining of the large size (long) and very heavy workpieces and for complex productive machining of templates, dies or moulding tools, but also of other pieces with complex shapes. Using machining heads it is possible to machine pieces from five sides using single clamping. Important is the possibility of machining generally shaped surfaces in the mode of five-axial (or multiaxial) machining.

The complete marking of the machining centre is FPPC XXX/x CNC, where XXX is the size of the Y coordinate and x is the size of the X coordinate in m (example: FPPC 300/6 CNC).

The FPPC CNC portal machining centre is controlled in the three main axes – X (cross rail longitudinal movement), Y (transversal travel of the slide ram) and Z (vertical travel of the headstock slide). The slide headstock can be equipped with vertical mechanical spindle but also with vertical electric spindle or machining heads substantially extending technological possibilities of the machine. The machining centre is covered all around. The access to the working area is enabled also by the gate at the front side of the workplace. According to needs it can also be supplemented with a suitable type of device for automatic tools change (ATC).

The FVC CNC machine is equipped with digitally controlled SIEMENS AC servo drives (power units) for the feeds and with the Franz Kessler or SIEMENS main drive for the vertical mechanical spindle and the SEMPUCO machining head. It is CNC continuously controlled by HEIDENHAIN iTNC 530, SIEMENS SINUMERIK 840D or FIDIA C20 systems.
