WHN(Q) 13 CNC - Product description

WHN(Q) 13 CNC table type, cross bed, live spindle horizontal boring mill is the biggest type representative of the original line of the CNC horizontal borers of TOS VARNSDORF a.s.

WHN(Q) 13 CNC is the most successful machine produced by TOS VARNSDORF a. s. The machine won its respect thanks to its great power, large travel spans and a progressive and wisely simple design that lends it an amazing reliability. It is an ideal machine for effective, heavy duty, complete machining of larger workpieces at the workshops where high cutting power, broad application, high reliability and user-friendly operation are the priorities.

It may be continuously controlled in four axes by either iTNC 530 control of HEIDENHAIN, or SINUMERIK 840D of Siemens or FANUC. Its indexing table is positioned in the automatic cycle with the increment of 0,001°. The ATC equipped model is denominated WHQ 13 CNC

The machine has got 5 controlled axes. Linear axes (X – cross ravel of the table, Y – vertical travel of the headstock, Z- longitudinal travel of the column, W – spindle travel) are full controlled. B axis (rotary table) is possible to choose as positioning or continously controlled.

The machine is provided with a vertically adjustable operator’s platform. 

The spindle speed is controlled in two mechanical series automatically sequenced by a hydraulic circuit. The work spindle is nitrided, hardened and mounted to slide with a minimum clearance in the hollow spindle. This spindle is housed in precision spindle oblique-contact ball bearings in a multiple pre-stressed design.
